The Return of the Gazzlers

The SMC Masaka Rally is about to get an extra dose of adrenaline, tire smoke, and possibly some questionable navigational choices. After a two-year sabbatical, the Gazzlers Rally Team is making a grand comeback, and if their enthusiasm could win trophies, they’d already be champions!

Dr. Maseruka and his ever-faithful co-driver Denis Tibenda have dusted off their racing gloves, revved up the legendary Toyota Runx, and are ready to take Masaka by storm in the Bwera Bistrol SMC Rally this weekend. But let’s not forget their season opener in Mbarara – where things got, let’s just say, mechanically dramatic. Day one saw the car break down like a stubborn teenager refusing to leave bed, but on day two, they pushed through and crossed the finish line – undeniable proof to resilience, or maybe just sheer stubbornness.

Now, with their machine fine-tuned and battle-ready, the Gazzlers crew is determined to shake up the 2WD championship. And let’s be honest, they’re not just here to race   they’re here to cause sleepless nights for the competition. If you’re a 2WD driver, you might want to start checking under your car for surprise modifications, because these guys are coming with the fire!

Speaking of fire, whispers in the paddock suggest that the Runx, as loyal as it has been, is about to get some competition in the Gazzlers garage. A newer, more powerful rally beast is reportedly in the pipeline before the end of the year. What is it? A turbocharged unicorn? A space shuttle on wheels? Nobody knows yet, but what’s certain is that when it arrives, it’s going to make the competition sweat harder than a co-driver reading pace notes upside down.

For now, all eyes are on Masaka. Will Dr. Maseruka and his co-driver blaze through the rally like motorsport messiahs, or will Masaka serve them another plate of “we tried”?
