Today, the Uganda motorsport family wakes up to a pain far greater than any loss on the track. A pain that cuts deep and lingers heavy in our hearts.

Nalule Rehmah, the beloved wife of rally driver Peter Kalule,  tragically passed away. She breathed her last this morning at Kampala Hospital after a brief illness, leaving behind a heartbroken husband, five children two of whom are twins and an entire motorsport fraternity grieving a loss too big to bear.

Rehmah was not just a wife, a mother, or a rally fan. She was the heartbeat behind  PK Rally Team. Wherever the sound of engines roared, she was there cheering, supporting, smiling through the dust and rain. She wore her husband’s colors with unmatched pride, not just on her shirt, but in her soul. Her love for the sport, and for Peter, was undeniable.

To know Rahmah was to know warmth, kindness, and an unwavering spirit. She was a friend to many, a sister in the rally trenches, a comfort to her team. Her last rally appearance was in Mbarara during the opening round of the 2025 NRC. Few knew that would be the last time we’d see her radiant smile trackside, her camera in hand, capturing memories we now hold even tighter.

Tonight, her vigil will be held at her parents’ home on Tula Road, where cries of sorrow will fill the air, and candles will flicker through the tears. And tomorrow, in Masaka Bukumbula, she will be laid to rest far too soon, far too suddenly.

Peter Kalule now faces the unthinkable: life without the woman who stood by him through every twist and turn, every mechanical failure, every victory, and every loss. His copilot in life is gone, and no amount of horsepower can pull him out of this grief.

To the five little ones she’s left behind, her absence will be an aching silence at birthdays, school pickups, bedtime prayers. And to us, the motorsport community, the next rally will feel unbearably quiet without her voice in the crowd.

We mourn not just a life, but a soul that made our world warmer.
Rest in perfect peace, Nalule Rehmah Nalongo.
You were loved. You are missed. You will never be forgotten.
