The Clubman Rally Championship 2025 is to get more thrilling with the arrival of a new, promising talent on the rally circuit. Bebeto Kevin, a fast rising star in the rally scene, has made a significant upgrade from his trusty Toyota RunX to a more powerful Subaru Impreza N10. The vehicle, acquired from Tanzania rolled into the country this afternoon from Dar -es -Salaam, marking a new chapter in the young driver’s rallying journey.
Bebeto, born on September 3rd, 2006, has motorsport in his veins. He is the son of Papu Kaka and Laira Mutesi, a family deeply rooted in the racing world. At just 18 years old, Bebeto has already shown immense potential, and his passion for rallying is fueled by a strong family influence. A student at Lohana High School, he recently completed his Senior Four examinations, giving him more time to focus on his burgeoning racing career.
Bebeto credits his uncle, Kuku Ranjit, a seasoned rally driver, as his biggest inspiration. “I grew up watching my uncle race. Seeing his skill, dedication, and the thrill of the sport ignited my passion for rallying,” Bebeto shared in a recent interview. It was this inspiration that drove him to enter his first event, the Gomba Autocross in 2023, alongside his co-driver Musa Nsubuga in their Toyota RunX.
Reflecting on his debut, Bebeto said, “Gomba was an unforgettable experience. It was my first taste of competitive racing, and I felt the adrenaline rush like never before. It remains my favorite event so far because it set the foundation for my journey in motorsport.”
Bebeto’s debut year in the 2023 Autocross Championship was nothing short of spectacular. Despite being a newcomer, he consistently displayed his skills on various terrains, achieving several podium finishes. His performances turned heads and earned him recognition as one of the most promising young drivers in the Ugandan motorsport scene.
His Toyota RunX, although reliable and agile, was no match for the faster and more powerful cars he competed against. Yet, Bebeto’s sheer determination and talent shone through, proving he could handle the pressure and keep up with more experienced drivers. It became clear that an upgrade was necessary to match his growing ambitions and to prepare for the next level of competition.
The arrival of the Subaru Impreza N10 marks a significant milestone in Bebeto’s racing career. The N10, a formidable rally machine, is renowned for its impressive handling, speed, and reliability. It has been a staple in the rally world for its performance in the Group N category, making it the perfect step up for Bebeto as he transitions to the Clubman Rally Championship (CRC).
“This car is a game-changer for me,” Bebeto said with a wide grin as he inspected the vehicle for the first time. “I am grateful to my sponsors Mr. Yassin Nasser of Moil, my uncle Kuku Ranjit, and my dad Papu Kaka for making this dream a reality. They have been incredibly supportive, and I can’t wait to get behind the wheel and test its capabilities.”
With the 2025 CRC season on the horizon, Bebeto is already setting his sights on the top spots. He is eager to face off against other rising stars like Walter Kibande, Kigundu Sentongo, and Bahizi Denis, who are also gearing up the 2025 CRC season. The competition promises to be intense, but Bebeto is unfazed.
“I have spent the past year in the Autocross Championship honing my skills. I’ve learned a lot about handling different terrains, vehicle control, and managing pressure. I’m ready for this next challenge,” he asserted.
His recent experience in autocross, where he tackled tricky corners, loose gravel, and high-speed straights, has equipped him with the necessary skills to excel in the CRC. “The level of competition will be higher, but I’m not scared of anyone. I’ve put in the work, and with this Subaru Impreza N10, I feel prepared to compete against the best,” Bebeto declared confidently.
The 2025 season is expected to be action-packed, with many new drivers entering the fray. Bebeto Kevin’s participation will undoubtedly add excitement to the championship as his fans eagerly await to see how he fares with his upgraded machine.
His move from the Toyota RunX to the Subaru Impreza N10 signifies his commitment to advancing his racing career and challenging the more experienced drivers in the CRC. For a young driver who has already shown flashes of brilliance, the sky is the limit.
As Bebeto gears up for the upcoming season, he carries the hopes of his family, sponsors, and fans. With the new Subaru Impreza N10 and a solid support system behind him, he is poised to make a mark in the Clubman Rally Championship. The 2025 season is shaping up to be a thrilling one, and Bebeto Kevin is ready to race his way into the spotlight.
