Naivasha, Nakuru County – In a significant boost to the motorsport scene, KCB Bank Kenya has announced a whopping KShs. 195 million investment into the 2024 World Rally Championship (WRC) Safari Rally Kenya. Set to rev up from March 28th to 31st in Naivasha, Nakuru County, this commitment underscores KCB’s staunch support for sports in East Africa.

The banking giant proudly steps in as the official Financial Partner for the four-day extravaganza, marking the fourth leg of the esteemed WRC calendar. With KShs. 100 million earmarked for bolstering preparations and logistical endeavors for the rally, KCB showcases its dedication to ensuring a seamless and world-class event.

Moreover, in a bid to champion local talent, KCB allocates a commendable KShs. 16.6 million towards sponsoring two homegrown drivers. Among them, Karan Patel, the reigning African Rally Champion, and Nikhil Sachania, the reigning Kenya Group N Champion, stand to benefit from KCB’s support. The remainder of the investment will fuel various customer engagement initiatives and brand activations, further cementing KCB’s role in fostering community involvement.

Reflecting on this monumental contribution, KCB Group CEO, Paul Russo, expressed profound pride in the bank’s enduring involvement in the region’s motorsport narrative. “Since 2003, when we first sponsored the Safari Rally, we’ve been privileged to witness Kenya’s resurgence in the global motoring arena. Our continued support underscores our commitment to nurturing sporting excellence and celebrating the spirit of competition,” remarked Russo.
