EMC to Climax Grassroots Activities with Nakalama Training Exhibition
The Eastern Motor Club (EMC) will bring its 2025 grassroots activities to a climax tomorrow, 31st December, with a non-championship motor rallying and motocross training event in Nakalama. The event is aimed at nurturing talent, sharpening skills, and opening doors for new entrants into the sport as the club looks ahead to the 2026 season.
The Nakalama exhibition has attracted a strong blend of club drivers, non-club competitors, and junior riders, all united by a common goal growing motorsport from the ground up. Experienced drivers are expected to share knowledge with upcoming competitors, while young riders who have recently shown interest in the sport will get rare hands-on exposure in a safe, guided environment.

Grassroots motorsport activities remain the backbone of EMC’s development agenda. At their core, grassroots exhibitions are community-driven initiatives, organized by and for local enthusiasts rather than imposed by large corporate or top-down institutions. They grow naturally from the ground up, with ordinary people and passionate volunteers acting as the driving force.
Such exhibitions place strong emphasis on community involvement, reflecting local culture, interests, and challenges while providing a platform for independent and under represented talent. Inclusivity and accessibility are key, ensuring that motorsport is not only for the elite but open to anyone with passion, commitment, and interest especially the next generation of riders and drivers.
Meanwhile, EMC recently held its Annual General Meeting and End-of-Year Party on 28th December, an occasion that was well attended by club drivers and members. The event served both as a moment of reflection and celebration after a busy season.

All registered competitors for the 2025 season were awarded customised certificates in recognition and appreciation of their contribution to the club through racing. Other members were also acknowledged and appreciated for their unwavering commitment and support to EMC activities throughout the year.
The evening was capped off in style with a lively party and live band music, as members joined together to usher in a blessed and prosperous New Year 2026 united, motivated, and ready for another exciting chapter in grassroots motorsport development.
