Scheduled from August 9th to 11th, this event promises to deliver adrenaline-pumping action and excitement to fans across the nation.
Nasser, who dominated the 2023 championship with an impressive performance in the ford fiesta R5, is set to hit the tracks once again, this time piloting his Subaru Impreza GVB. His loyal navigator, Ali Katumba, will accompany him as they seek to relive the glory of their past victories. Despite his high-profile return, Nasser’s participation is primarily driven by his desire for some pre-season fun, allowing him to shake off the rust and prepare for the upcoming season.
This comeback is particularly poignant as Nasser has been on a brief hiatus following a dramatic roll of his Ford Fiesta R5 during the recent WRC Safari Rally Kenya. His return to competitive racing marks a significant moment, especially after his recent involvement in a heartfelt cause. Nasser joined fellow drivers in the Umar Dauda fundraising event held in Garuga, which aimed to support driver Umar Dauda in securing a drivetrain and engine for his Mitsubishi EvoX.

After a year-long sabbatical, Kateete will be back in Fortportal, this time behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi EvoX formerly driven by Arthur Blick. Known for his exceptional performances in the Subaru Impreza N14, Kateete’s switch to the EvoX has sparked considerable interest. Codriven by Nambasa Mariam, Kateete’s performance in the new vehicle will be keenly watched by rally aficionados eager to see how he adapts to the change.
