Uganda National Motocross Team Secures Victory in First Round of CAC Championship

In an exhilarating showcase of talent and skill, the Uganda National Motocross Team triumphed in the first round of the Central African Challenge (CAC) Championship . The event, held at the thrilling E-Villas track in Kalisizo over the weekend, witnessed Uganda dominate the competition, amassing an impressive total of 1540 points, while their rivals from Kenya fell short with only 179 points to their name.

Despite Kenya’s commendable performance in the 65 CC category, where they secured a convincing victory, Uganda showcased their prowess across various categories, emerging victorious in the majority. The Ugandan team clinched top honors in MX 50, MX 85, MX 125, MX 2, and MX 1 categories, demonstrating their depth of talent.

Among the standout performers for Uganda were Jude Kyle Musedde in the MX 50 CC category,Kenya’s Dylan Hatanga in MX 65 CC, Jerome Mubiru in MX 85, Malcolm Gift Sebuguzi in MX 125, Waleed Omar in MX 2, and Fortune Sentamu in MX 1. Each athlete showcased remarkable skill and determination, contributing crucial points to Uganda’s overall victory.

The breakdown of category points further underscores Uganda’s dominance, with impressive performances across the board. In categories such as MX 50 and MX 65, Uganda’s substantial point lead solidified their position as frontrunners in the championship.

The event not only celebrated Uganda’s success on the international stage but also served as the third round of the national Motocross championship, further highlighting the significance of the competition within the local motorsport community.

The second round of the CAC Championship is set to take place in Kenya in December 2024, promising another thrilling showdown between the region’s top motocross talents.
