All Set for Man vs Machine Gymkhana TT and Drags in Namanve
The countdown to the Man vs Machine Gymkhana TT and Drags is officially on, and if you listen closely around Kampala streets, you can already hear engines being revved unnecessarily at traffic lights just to “test power.” Organized by Street Racers Club Uganda, the event is set for 17th to 19th April at Nile Resort Hotel, Namanve, and trust me, this is not your usual calm weekend where people sip juice quietly. This is where machines scream, tyres cry, and egos get tested properly.

Excitement is boiling over among street racing enthusiasts, from the serious petrolheads to those guys who just removed their mufflers last week and now think they’re ready for Formula 1. The Gymkhana TT and drags promise a proper showdown between man and machine where some drivers will be showcasing real skill, while others… well… will be showcasing confidence sponsored by vibes and loud music.
All eyes will be on defending champion Nasif, who returns to defend his crown. The man is coming back not just to race, but to remind everyone that last year was not luck. Meanwhile, the challengers are somewhere in garages across the city, tightening bolts, saying prayers, and promising their cars, “This time we behave, please.” Because as we all know, Ugandan machines can be loyal… until race day when they decide to develop “small small issues.”
On the biker side, things are equally heated. Joel Kakyala, Henrico, Isaac, and Trouble have all confirmed, and these are not the kind of riders who come to play. These are the kind who twist the throttle and suddenly you’re questioning your life choices. Expect serious action, a bit of madness, and of course, those moments where a rider passes so fast you’re left checking if your eyes are still working properly.

With sponsorship from Next Rides, Banana Resort, Nile Resort, King AD, IUEA, and MJ Investments, the event is set to be bigger and better. And you already know what that means better machines, bigger crowds, and more people pretending they “understand horsepower” while just nodding seriously in conversations.
Before all the chaos begins, the official launch will take place on 12th April 2026 at Noble Pearl Automotive in Bugolobi. This is where the machines will be polished, the drivers will speak confidently into microphones, and everyone will act calm… even though deep down they’re all thinking, “Will my engine survive this?”

As the main weekend approaches, one thing is certain Namanve will not be peaceful. It will be loud, fast, and full of life. From high-speed drags to technical gymkhana battles, fans are in for a proper treat. And for those attending, just remember: don’t stand too close to the track, don’t challenge racers after two sodas, and most importantly don’t assume your car is fast just because it sounds like thunder in your neighborhood. This is more than just an event; it’s a celebration of speed, skill, and the beautiful chaos of Uganda’s street car culture. Buckle up, because this one is going to be wild.
