Umar  Dauda Unvails The Boost Bomb Ahead Of The Bugerere Stabex EMC Rally

By Mwambazi Lawrence,

What you just  witnessed this evening ladies and gentlemen, isn’t just the launch of a car… it’s the rebirth of a warrior. A man, his machine, and a dream kept alive by grit, grease, and pure guts. If that doesn’t inspire you, check your pulse.Yes, the man we’ve stalked from the age of Mitsubishi Evo 4s (when men were boys and turbos were just shy of whispering) through to the good ol’ Evo 6 era (when life had meaning and boost was religion), has now gone full mad scientist. Boom! Enter the Mitsubishi Evo X a machine so mean, birds stopped chirping when the ignition turned over.

Under a cloudless Kabusu sky, Dauda’s grand unveiling ceremony looked like something between a motorsport gala and a turbocharged family reunion. Fans, rally drivers, mechanics, boda guys came through. And they weren’t disappointed.

Now let’s talk history: This ain’t just another Evo X off the streets. Oh no. This very chariot of chaos was once owned by none other than rally ace Ambrose Byona, who practically handed it to Dauda at a “kameza” price (rumor has it he only asked for 1 bottle of enturire). Why? In honor of Umar’s legendary win at the 2023 Fort Portal Rally where he practically flew the car without wings.

But here’s the twist: the car arrived engine-less. That’s right no drivetrain, no engine just a shell with ambition and a dream. For a full year, Dauda and his fans hustled harder than boda riders at 5PM. From organizing car washes, chicken raffles, to “Buy-a-Turbo-for-Dauda” fundraisers, they finally bought the heart and soul of the beast a brand new drivetrain and engine.

Now the monster is ready. It purrs like a lion on pre-workout. It idles like it’s planning to ruin someone’s rally weekend.

Joining Dauda in the cockpit will be none other than his ride-or-drift Steven “Calm Under Boost” Bunya, his long-time co-driver who’s known for navigating chaos with GPS accuracy and the chill of a cucumber in a freezer.

Their battleground? None other than the Stabex EMC Bugerere Rally 2025, slated for next weekend in Jinja and Bugerere. This, my friends, is not just any event it’s the 4th round of the Uganda National Rally Championship (NRC). The championship race is tighter than a lug nut on race day, and Dauda’s entry is the equivalent of throwing a fully built Evo X into a kindergarten class total disruption incoming.

Word on the street is other drivers are already “checking their tire pressures with anxiety while others  are already upgrading their prayers. One unnamed top driver was overheard muttering, “Why now, Dauda? Why now?”

“This isn’t just a comeback. It’s proof that no matter how long it takes, real racers never stop building. Tonight, Dauda didn’t just unveil a car  he reignited belief. And come Bugerere, he’s not just showing up. He’s showing everyone how it’s done.”
